Mazzer T-Tamper

The T-Tamper is Mazzer’s electronic tamper: put the portafilter in place and it tamps with a set force, measured by a load cell with feedback control to ±0.5 kg. You choose the force between 10 and 35 kg and work in one of two modes: fast, with one tamp, or precise, with a double tamp.

The T-Tamper is for a busy espresso bar where several baristas share the station and every puck should be tamped the same way. It takes over a repetitive movement, which helps consistency and saves the barista’s wrist. At 14 cm wide it fits next to most grinders. The force range of 10 to 35 kg covers common recipes; set it once per coffee and every barista uses the same value.
