All about the Mazzer Kony G – Conical, grind by weight

The Kony G is Mazzer’s conical-burr espresso grinder that grinds by weight: it stops by itself at the target weight, so you no longer weigh the grounds or correct the dose when you change the grind setting. Its 69 mm conical burrs grind 5.0 to 6.5 g per second, and Mazzer says it is twice as fast and more precise than its predecessor.

How does grind by weight work?
The Kony G weighs while it grinds and stops at the target weight you set. When you change the grind setting, you do not have to weigh the grounds or adjust the dose.

Kony G or Super Jolly G?
Both grind by weight. The Kony G has 69 mm conical burrs and grinds 5.0 to 6.5 g per second; the Super Jolly G has 64 mm flat burrs, grinds 4.0 to 5.2 g per second and weighs 17.5 kg instead of 22 kg.

Can I grind into a dosing cup?
Yes. With the optional magnetic dosing cup (up to 30 g) the Kony G starts hands-free with Place-and-Grind.
