The F83 E XGi PRO doses by weight: you set the single, double and triple dose in grams, the software works out the grinding time, and a load cell in the base checks each dose against the target. It grinds with 83 mm flat burrs, and on this PRO version the grinding chamber comes off for cleaning.
Key features
XGi dosing in grams
Set the target weight for single, double and triple doses; the grinder calculates the time needed to deliver it.
Load cell check
A load cell at the base weighs every dose and compares it with the set value.
83 mm flat burrs
Flat burrs of 83 mm at 1350 rpm (50 Hz), adjusted steplessly with a micrometric ring.
Removable grinding chamber
The PRO version's grinding chamber comes off for cleaning and maintenance.
Hopper and fork
A 1.5 kg bean hopper and an adjustable portafilter fork with support; 18.6 kg net.
What our baristas think
The F83 E XGi PRO suits a busy espresso bar where several baristas share one grinder and the dose has to stay the same through the day. Setting the dose in grams takes away the daily weighing that a timed grinder needs. For a quieter café with one house espresso, the Fiorenzato F64 EVO with timed doses costs about half as much.
